Green Party Pronoun Problems

Emma Bateman, a GWD supporter and founding signatory, has been making a splash in the national media. Last week she was featured in an article in the Daily Telegraph and then appeared as a Special Guest on GB news.

Emma is taking legal action against the Green Party after being suspended and then expelled for voicing her Gender Critical views. The article detailed some of the treatment Emma has been subjected to, including being sanctioned in 2022 for making allegedly antagonistic comments about “fae/faer” pronouns, which are 'fairy pronouns’ inspired by the mythical world. Following the publication of the article, Emma was interviewed on ‘Free Speech Nation’, a current affairs programme on the GB News channel. She talked about the importance of debate and discussion to democracy and how, in her opinion, The Green Party’s internal systems and processes have been ‘weaponised’ to silence members with Gender Critical beliefs.
