The Times Reports on GWD’s Legal Action Against the Green Party

Our legal challenge against the Green Party of England and Wales has been reported in The Times, one of the UK’s most widely read national newspapers.

The article covered our pre-action letter and the Party’s decision to cancel our confirmed conference stall — a move that we believe forms part of a pattern of exclusion directed at women who hold gender critical views.

GWD director Jude English described the Party’s approach as a systematic effort to exclude women with gender critical views from political participation. This is not about one cancelled booking. It is about whether women who hold legally protected beliefs can take part in the democratic life of their own party.

Coverage of our story matters. It brings our experience to an audience of people who may never have heard of GWD, and it signals to the Green Party’s leadership that their treatment of women members is unacceptable.

Every article builds the case that this is not a fringe concern. This is about the fundamental right of women to participate in political life while holding beliefs the law protects.
