GWD Directors Speak Out on Free Speech Nation

Three GWD directors appeared in a live interview on GB News’s popular current affairs programme, Free Speech Nation, to discuss our legal action against the Green Party of England and Wales.

The interview brought our case to a large new audience and generated strong engagement on social media. For many viewers, it was the first time they had heard about the treatment of gender critical women within the Green Party; the suspensions, the expulsions, the cancelled conference stall, and the disciplinary processes that have been used to silence women.

Our directors set out clearly what is at stake. This is not a dispute about internal party management. It is a question of whether women can hold and express legally protected beliefs within a political party without facing punishment for doing so.

The response to the broadcast has been overwhelming. Messages of support have come in from across the country; from Green Party members, from former members, and from women in other parties who recognise the same patterns in their own organisations.

Our story resonates because it is not unique to us. Women across the political spectrum are facing the same pressure to stay silent. We’re showing that silence is no longer the only option.
